Environmental Technician
Nokiiwin Tribal Council is committed to supporting environmental stewardship, natural resource management, and community well-being within the Indigenous communities it serves. The Technical Services Department provides environmental, natural resource, and land-based technical support through monitoring, assessment, and community engagement.
The Environmental Technician will provide hands-on field support to the Technical Services Department by assisting departmental staff during environmental field activities. This position is intended as a learning and skills-development opportunity and does not involve independent fieldwork. The technician will work under direct supervision and mentorship while supporting environmental monitoring, sampling, and data collection activities.
The Environmental Technician will work under the direct supervision of the Technical Services Manager and departmental staff. The position includes daily to weekly supervision, informal feedback, and team-based mentoring during all field activities. The technician will not work independently.
