About Nokiiwin

We have gained our vision from the leadership of the Member Nations we serve. We strive to act as a magnet, drawing our communities together. Nokiiwin Tribal Council plays an integral role in developing capacity within the Northwestern communities we serve, including Animbiigoo Zaagi'igan Anishinaabek, Biinjitiwaabik Zaaging Anishinaabek, Bingwi Neyaashi Anishinaabek, Fort William First Nation, Netmizaaggamig Nishnaabeg, and the Ojibway Nation of Saugeen.

Nokiiwin Tribal Council is a rapidly expanding non-profit organization that provides a diverse range of services. We are dedicated to working in unity with our six Member First Nations to enhance growth and prosperity in the areas of governance, finance, capacity development, access to justice, community planning, and technical and educational services.

Incorporated in 2006, Nokiiwin Tribal Council receives core funding from Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC). This agency serves as the primary link between the Government of Canada and First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.
