This is a 2 hour event that will focus on discussing and addressing racism from an Indigenous perspective. This event will include a presentation from Dr. Cora Voyageur of the University of Calgary. Dr. Cora Voyageur has taught for over 20 years in the Sociology Department at the University of Calgary. Her research interests explore the Indigenous experience in Canada, including leadership, community and economic development, women’s issues, and health. Dr. Cora Voyageur is a member of the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation in Fort Chipewyan, Alberta.
A Web-in-action event is designed to be interactive and does include breakout groups for the participants to discuss ideas and network. If possible please join with your camera on as this makes the event more engaging for everyone attending.
